Quilled Snowflake

After practice with the Quilled City, students will use their quilling skills to create a picture out of quilled paper. This picture happens to be a snowflake since it's winter in Minnesota and we have alot of snowflakes to model our little piece of art after.

Students study snowflakes first as inspiration. Then after a quick demonstration of quilling shapes, students make a 6-pointed "x" on their paper to use as a guideline for their quilled snowflake parts.

Symmetry is discussed and demonstrated with the teacher's snowflake example.
