Steampunk Pot or Sculpture

Steam Punk:
"A subgenre of science fiction that incorporates technology and designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery." --Wikipedia

A brief history of the Victorian era is illustrated through pictures and the California's Carson Mansion website (www.http://www.ingomar.org). Victorian Architecture is used to illustrate the ornate look and repetition students should incorporate into their pots/sculptures.

Some steam punk examples are shown as well. Students are shown how to make simple pipes, brackets, and decorations that look "steampunk-ish"
