Watercolor and Ink Bookmark

A short course on calligraphy is covered with demonstrations and practice exercises. Students are shown how a small bookmark can be made with washes of watercolor and ink applied on top. The watercolor needs to be dry before the final ink is applied.

The paper is taped down, a wash done and let dry. The tape is removed carefully and ink is applied over the watercolor, breaking beyond the white frame.
