Christmas Window Ornament

Students are shown how to roll out slabs of clay, cut shapes using paper templates, indent shapes/lines and add relief sculpted textures.

When the slabs are leather heard they are rubbed over with a sponge to smooth and round the shapes out. After glazing the students paint over the ornaments with black ink and wash it off to simulate a Raku fired appearance.
