Cartoon Painting

Students are shown a variety of cartoon characters for inspiration. Special note is made of how the characters are colored in each illustration.

Students are to draw a cartoon character (can be existing character or one of their own making) and then use watercolor paints to give the drawing color and three-dimensionality.

After the paint dries, sharpie marker is used to "ink" over the drawing's pencil lines.
