Below is a brief biography.

As founder of Kulzer Design Studios, and principal artist, Gerard Kulzer has built his studio to produce original, high quality artwork in a wide variety of media. Sculpture, Pottery, Paintings, and Web Design are all part of the studio's repertoire.

After receiving Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Applied Science degrees from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, Kulzer began teaching Art and Industrial Education classes in Litchfield, Minnesota. "Teaching afforded me the opportunity to explore, in depth, other media and areas of the art field." He has continually used his summer months to improve his skills and knowledge through a variety of intensive experiences. Kulzer lists summer experiences taking computer graphics classes, working with Maracom Communications (a high end printing company), interning at Eckel's Pottery in Bayfield Wisconsin, working as an ArtsConnectEd trainer, completing a 2 month Fellowship with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Walker Art Center, and a little freelance curriculum writing for the Allentown Art Museum as invaluable experiences that would not have been possible without his ties to education.

Gerard Kulzer continues to teach Art and resides in Litchfield, Minnesota with his wife and five children.
