Stop-Motion Animation

This quick animation lesson illustrates how an animated film is made by taking photographs of objects with a slight movement in each frame of the animation.

Students line up in the hall and are photographed doing a specific motion in sequence. We then bring the photos into the computer and cycle them over and over in a video program such as Apple's iMovie. At this time sound effects are added and images are edited before uploading to the web.
