Sparkly Skulls for Halloween

!--Maybe not this part--! Students are introduced to how ancient people's buried their dead through pictures that illustrate the lavish jewels included in the tombs.

A quick demonstration on how to form a skull in clay is given then students can make their own small skulls and impress plastic beads into the eye sockets. (This is done with self hardening clay, not fired in a kiln.)

An alternate, fired clay, example can be done instead, see bottom picture.
