City at Night

This lesson builds on the Modrian lesson done in Kindergarten.

Students are shown images of buildings at night. The lights from inside glow in the darkness of the night sky. Architecture is discussed and special note of the building shapes is made during the discussion of each picture.

Students are to draw a horizontal line across their blue background paper. Next, they cut out building shapes and glue them down to the horizon line. --Or they glue the buildings to the bottom of the paper.

After that they cut small rectangles and squares out of yellow paper. Each square is to be glued down so that it is straight and parallel to the others.
