Radial Symmetry of Snowflakes

Students are shown images of snowflakes as inspiration.

Students are shown how to draw snowflakes with simple lines, then, given black or blue paper they are to draw snowflakes with a white pencil. After the snowflakes are drawn, they can go over their lines with glue. When the snowflakes are covered with a light line of glue, students bring their paper up to the glitter station to get it glittered.

If we want to push this further, we may take another day to enable a two-color glittered snowflake. Simply draw only some lines in glue the first day, then after the glitter and glue dies, draw more lines and glitter over the new lines with a different color.
