Flower Composition

A brief survey of Georgia O'Keeffe's work is shown in class. We discuss her use of color and how she enlarges or "blows up" the flower images.

Students free paint with watercolor. After the paint is dry students draw flower petals (or trace over a given flower template) and cut out their flower petals. Two flowers are to be cut out. The flower petals are glued together with a slight rotation so that all the petals are seen and a green stem added.
