Castle Diorama

After the "Tiny Castles" drawing exercise, students are given small paper to draw their own castles. (1/4 sheet)

The teacher demonstrates how students can use pencils to draw their castles and then crayons to color them. A large hill or bit of ground should be drawn first to act as a proper base. We fold the bottom part over so it can be glued to the blue background paper. Yellow is used in windows to simulate candle light.

After castles are drawn, they are cut out and glued to the blue background paper and clouds are also added.

OR a black paper might be used in the background and a crescent moon cut out or white pencil used to draw it with stars.
